Home warranty inspection

Hi Joe,

I posted this on another thread, but was recommended to try here to get a faster reply.

Several months ago I performed a home warranty inspection for a client. There were several major issues, Vinyl siding falling off, cracked foundation, hardwood floors splintering up, negative grading around the house, moisture in basement, etc. The house is less than 1 year old.

She has asked me to attend a meeting with her attorney present with the builder and the house manufacturer.

I have been advised by other inspectors here to attend the meeting and keep my involvement as limited as possible, just listen and let her attorney do the talking, I should be there to see if the contractor is BS'ing her.

Your opinion.

Thank you,
Scott Falvey

I agree, you might want to require a deposit for your time and consider a very good hourly rate for the pain and suffering that is surely to occur in this environment.
