Desk Writer version crashing, errors, slow, weird things happening. The first 10 inspections, I thought maybe it’s my Chromebook (i’ll get a new laptop), but my Chromebook isn’t problematic in other apps.

Just starting to get really frustrated with the 3 hour sessions after the site inspection. Any insights would be delightful. Please stay considerate. There is no “hating” necessary, I just like civil discussion. Thanks.

If you have weighed in on this and don’t want to for 2025, that’s fine, just let me know where to read about these problems.

Homegauge Bug and Gripe Thread

The hg companion upload disappears if the screen is rotated, still uploads, but you don’t know progress, just annoying. Would like to see improved way to manually move report over. If it was super easy, I wouldn’t need the additional hotspot. Needs improvement for multiple inspectors using companion as single house. Specifically items into the summary. If I click rr and he does not, his items don’t go to summary. Potential liability… I lost a good agent over this. I would like to see some…

I’ve been HG for decades. The PC/Mac desktop version can’t run on Chrome, are you using the Web Writer?

I would, a modern unit (PC/Windows) with even just average (or above) components and a good internet connection should clear up the problems you’re experiencing.
