The Frank Lloyd Wright of stairs. (No one on this forum even knows who Frank Lloyd Wright was.)

Looks like a fun build

Wow, what a project!

Nice to have all that extra cash to do things like that. Envious, having fun.

Not true! There are several dinosaurs on this forum. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The town just up the road from where I grew up had a bank building that was designed by Wright.

In Michigan, we have at least 8 of his designs:

Nice stairs Nick, they look like they should last a few years, if not, a few hundred years.

Here’s an interesting article about Frank Lloyd Wright.

Some good articles, thanks. When the name popped into my head it was mostly because I never considered architects as very practical people. I did consider Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs even less practical than most. Although many are pleased with the aesthetics of his designs I pity the builder who had to construct them.

I was always more attracted to the victorian designs with the turrets and conical roofs, the wrap around porches and the corbels and fascia scrolls. These are perhaps even more impractical today with the lack of lead based paint to protect all that wood trim.
