I don't remember giving Dom that quote but it sounds like something I'd say. LOL

Nick -

You may not remember the exact quote all the time but you make them. Most are memorable. I remember several involving Jeff Barnes and Molly.

OR when we were in Boulder for the John McKenna class and you took several of us to downtown Boulder to have drinks and munchies at a bar with an outside courtyard (think it was attached to an old hotel fixed up real nice). I still remember after 4-5 drinks your memorable quote …

“Remember men, shoot low they may be riding shetland ponies”

I never figured out what it pertained to but liked the comment.

Stephen, you don’t understand. HomeGauge currently has 9 employees 3 full time programmers in house and 7 phone lines toll free. We are the LARGEST HOME INSPECTION SOFTWARE company out there including your pro. Since when does laying a guy off so he can draw unemployment imply that the company is hurting? It usually means that we like the person but want a fresh new approach. Don’t worry we are profitable and have many users coming to HomeGauge that use other software including yours. Anytime you hippies want to go head to head on features I am ready for the challenge.

HomeGauge is ready. Bring it. We can use Captivate software and we can come up with a list such as how to add a picture, a comment etc. and put this childish bantering to bed.

If others reading this are looking for software, take 20 pictures of your home and try the others and then try HomeGauge. You will naturally choose the one you like the most. Regardless of the hype you hear. Find out for yourselves.

By the way…here’s two new employees we hired : http://www.homegauge.com/inspector/shgi/newsalerts/newsalert-jun11.html

We have done head to head and HIP is by far the best looking photo report there is.
Way easier to read and find issues than anything HG has done.

HG is ahead of HIP in bloatware and that is all.
Having scheduling software ,etc is not needed and can be done much more efficiently with proprietorial programs not dependent on one source but then HIP does not have 9 employees trying to justify drawing a paycheck.

Large is not always better as Clients only care about a report that is easy to get through .

Bob you are a loyal user and very pleased with your software. That is awesome. What I am saying is that laying off someone does not imply that the company is hurting. Should you guys want a real challenge. A High Noon challenge. I am game. Your no daisy

I guess that is reflected in the price also.
I have tried both, no one will convince me that anything supersedes HIP.
Adaptable to anything you desire it to look like.
Use HIP for residential and changed the format to Commercial Inspections in a few hours.
Report quality and appearance is top notch. :)

Hey Bob, this one’s for you

…just having some fun with you Bobby

Since your talking begin by posting a cover page.(Jpeg)

Don’t be shy now Bob, lay out 40 features and then do them in Captivate. HG will do the same. Put up or …you know.

no no no, lets do 20 features of easy common features and appoint someone …you… and do them in Captivate, HG will do the same and then we will post them for ALL to see. I’m calling you out

You are not even able to post a cover page???

Trying to pad the contest with bloatware already???:stuck_out_tongue:

Why would I wish to be captivated??? lol whatever that means though I am sure you will tell us we need whatever it is…my my, how did I survive before craptivate…hahaha.

How about simple report and start with a graphic shot of the cover page since that is what my loyal clients see?

Your turn…we can go from here.

OK here is my cover shot…your turn.

Here is a sample “Head to Head” of HIP and 3D! Oh yes…one program is twice the price. Sorry…I don’t own Homegauge to include.

http://inspectthathouse.com/InspectorsOnly.aspx

Dan that is not a head to head JPEG.
Post it here or separately and I will combine them for you.

Seems Russell decided not to play.

Did anybody hear of the release date for a Droid or IPhone HIP yet?
Surely Dom is not going to allow Russell to have one up on him!

The android version is in beta testing right now. We’re targeting the iPhone/iPad release for when the iPad 3 comes out at the end of the March. Right now the iPad doesn’t have handwriting recognition and a lot less ram that Droid tablets. So we focused on android first.

I totally recommend HIP to any and all Home Inspectors here in Phoenix.

Our cover pages are in html which means the inspector can create whatever he wants, color, images, backgrounds …its a web page so the sky is the limit.

Captivate is a software that allows you to record your computer screen while performing steps.

I’ll be glad to do a friendly challenge anytime. I just think its funny that some of you hippies treat software like two college ball teams…

High Noon

Bob…its not a JPEG…they are two PDF files using the same data.

Dominic’s great conversion program allowed me to take my 4000+ lines of text I original created in 3D and import them into HIP…then I modified my templates to my liking. The learning curve on HIP is quick…and frankly, it’s just fun to work with!

Adding new comments is also much quicker, along with editing templates, adding borders (not an option on 3D), along with highlighting defects. Both reports provide the same info…(well there might be “slight” variations in data- that was my error when I forgot to hit “save”, and had to te-type some data).

All talk.
Stop flapping and start posting.
I put up my Jpeg and you disappeared.

I suspect you simply want captivate because you have one prepared and cant compete in real time during a live debate.

Comp was your idea not mine, but you wimped out last night.:stuck_out_tongue:

Do you need another 24 hours with your 9 guys on little old Bob? HA HA .
