I would like to add some background information to this that I feel is relevant.
Bill is a member of the Central Missouri Chapter, NACHI, and also belongs to St. Louis ASHI. He recently attended the ASHI National Board of Directors Meeting that was held in St. Louis and said that, while there was no NACHI bashing per se, there was a NACHI dominance that resembled (in his words) "an elephant in the room."
His NACHI enthusiasm is real and represents a trend in this area. We plan to sustain this momentum with our monthly chapter meetings and our working idea of a state-wide NACHI convention. Increased visibility and training emphasis is beginning to erode the ASHI strongholds in certain parts around here.
Your efforts and those of all of NACHI's leaders are appreciated highly in this neck of the woods.
While I'm at it, let me shine a spotlight on another recent NACHI marketing accomplishment about to come to fruition in Missouri and Illinois.
NACHI member Frank Greer, also of our chapter, is an Illinois approved instructor for their 60 hour course and exam required for licensing. He is also a 27 year home inspector with a 25 year old ASHI membership (he says he plans to allow to lapse). Once all of the details are finally ironed out, Frank will be graduating his trainees right into NACHI membership roles.
