Curious to find out how many states other than Oregon require a Home Inspector to also be an Independent Contractor?
“Independent Contractor” is a classification for tax purposes so a company doesn’t have to have employees and the costs involved with employees, not classifications for State requirements.
I do believe you mean a “General Contractors” License.
I know the Great State of Illinois does not have this requirement. Heck, some states don’t have any Licensing requirements for Home Inspectors.
Or licensing requirements for contractors of any type
I’m a licensed general contractor, and in California that actually extends my statute of limitation as a building inspector from four years to five years. (Crickey, I hope there’re no attorneys reading this).
