The roof covering material installed is a 3-tab asphalt shingles, although it is covered in snow it looks to be in good condition and cant determine any offset patterns and valley flashing.
Unable to walk the roof due to the cold season, I cant determine the type of fasterners used, deck sheathing and underlayment if present.

There are many Varieties of roof including, Gambrel, Mansard, Flat, Gable, Hip, Butterfly, Bonnet and Shed styles. There are several features which include clerestory windows, Cupola, and conical roofs. Each of these styles produce differing concerns when it comes to roof covering materials, and the integrity of installation, fasteners, etc.
