Inspections in the rain

When it is raining, it is always a good day for roof inspections. Once while working for Peach I found a leak, just after the roofer was there to replace the roof! icon_biggrin.gif If you could put the look of those faces into words! icon_cool.gif

Three pair.

Boots for normal and exterior.

Tennis shoes for roof & crawl space.

House slippers with rubber soles for inside the house.

Clients like it. Seller's like it. Realtors like it.

Those little hospital covers just don't cut it when it's wet, muddy, snowy, etc.

Wow, you guys bring your closet with you icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Khakis and a Golf shirt, Boots for the roof, Boots for the exterior, Boots for the crawl spaces and attic, socks for the interior if and only if I got mud on the boots. I have never tracked anything through a house, and never had a problem with any Realtor, buyer or seller.

Since I'm down here in beautiful, warm, sunny southwest FL, I just have some heavier Golf shirts for those cold winter months (60's and 70's)

Hi Robert

Thanks for the welcome. A number of us are planning on having a meeting in the west end likely St. Catherines on Nov. 10/03 at 10 a.m., to talk about Nachi, and the current state of affairs with OAHI. If you know anyone who is interested in participating or attending please let me know. I will provide the details.

Many unhappy campers in Oahi as a result of the insurance debacle, conflict of interests, special interests, undue influence, etc, we need to solicit members to join Nachi. Self regulation under the OAHI guise is not happening and OAHI keeps singing the same tunes to the public, which begs the question who is misleading whom?

Have you seen the site for Nachi.ca?

You can email me privately at raymond.wand@sympatico.ca

Cheers,

Wow, rain. How ironic that I would find a post on rain.

I was doing an inspection in the rain the other day, and we have very little of the stuff here in San Diego. It was falling at a rate of about a gallon a minute it seemed. I mean it was heavy. Then I woke up only to find myself fully clothed in the shower. Damn margaritas.

I bought a boatload of those blue surgical booties. Cost about a nickle each. Everyone is so impressed when I whip out a pair for everybody.

Home Depot and many pest control conventions/web sites have slip covers for shoes. I personally don’t like slip covers. I just take my slip-on shoes off at the door when I go inside from the rain. Of course, that is only once a year that I have to do that. Our idea of rain is when there’s a cloud in the sky and the law sprinklers are on.

Those knitted slippers that Gramma makes work really well at covering up your shoes and are easy to slip on and off.

Question for Russel,
I can't stand it anymore! Just what is "ASNATC"? I tried searching to see where you originally posted it to no avail. I know I'll probably kick myself saying "Oh Yeah!"

I bring a towel to lay on the floor just inside the front door.

You'd be surprised how dirty and wet it will get from everyone going in and out during the inspection.

Jerry,

That is a good idea, espeically since we get the white stuff here too. I also bring along a change of shoes, so once inside the door I change into the dry pair, so I don't track up the house with wet shoes.
