Is it awkward too...

Now you can call your self multi-inspector like some of these other guys.

Actually we will be soon. Check out my website. She will be taking the AHIT class and getting certified as well. She won’t be doing much inspection but it will help her answer questions on the phone.

Glad this new guy isn’t in my market

No one here is scared yet…but they should be

Very nice!

There’s really a couple facets there. If you are referring trades/specialists, it’s not a bad idea to get some feedback. Folks will tell us what we’re doing right, rarely do we hear what we’re doing wrong.

In that regard, I may ask a previous client if the service they received from a referral was to their satisfaction. But, unless offered I wouldn’t probe about a condition I referred… why would I?

Having said that, if you referred a condition that you felt you may benefit from having some re-enforcement/additional education from AND especially if you have a relationship with the specialist, I would go direct to the source and ask specifically about the topic at hand and how you may better serve your clients in the future about it.

Call the SE you know and ask “How can I better recognize problems in our area that are beyond typical and should be recommended to be followed up on?”

You may become familiar with “propagation” and sub/superstructure

It’s a learning process.

Because the second house they look at is always less of a “dog” than the first one… right?

LOL. Yeah, that’s the way it works. I had one client that decided they were going to try and do their own inspection based off my first 3 reports. Their agent called me and asked if I would call and talk with them. Sure. I told them that there may be things in this next house that were not in the other houses so they would not have been mentioned. To try and compare could cause you to miss some big items. Got that inspection, AND the next one. They finally bought the 5th one. All full price inspections.

I have sent an email a few times asking if they dont mind telling me what transpired.

Because there is no such thing as a bad discount.
