Tele-Steps, 6 years, no problems. Used daily.
I have 2 ladders for Inspections. A 22’ Little Giant Fiberglass that I use only outside, and a 12’ Extend and Climb used only for indoors, and easy access where its fairly safe.
Both have served me well, and I’d recommend either one.
We have a huge percentage of 2 story homes. I have evolved to a fiberglass Warner 28 ft for outside and Warner folding ladder for inside. They are both a little heavy but cover most things I run across; plenty of room inside the van so I keep a fiberglass 6 foot regular step ladder in it also. I agree with Marc, adding the leveler on the extension ladder was quite the answer to shifty-ladder-syndrome on uneven grounds; the 28 ft also lets me use it as instant staging and get up to at least the skylights and such on most of the 12 or higher pitch “contemporary” homes without too much danger. Tried a telescoping ladder, borrowed to check it out, can’t remember the brand, but it just felt really flimsy; no bad experiences with it though. Guess I’m just a little squeamish about feeling solid when I get above about 15 feet up or so.
I use a real extension ladder.
I have an LG and extend & climb. I do not use the extend & climb to access garage attics anymore because the feet have slipped out twice.
Didn’t vote! You forgot to put in a “none of the above”. Only “real” ladders for me; no folding and no telescoping.
