Legislative Meeting for Florida Home Inspectors

Go to http://fl.nachi.org/info/event719.html

I am going to put my personal feelings aside and attend this meeting. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be a heated debate at this meeting. I promise to conduct myself in a professional manner and hope others will as well. See you on Friday.

As a backer of Mr. Bell and Mr. Taylor, I too will attend the meeting and believe it or not, will try to keep my mouth shut! I hear the giggles from here! Really, I will…

TRY that is

Russ

You have my support, I’ll be there.

Good luck and it is great to see how some Inspectors are out to try and help our industry.
I wish was closer so I could go and see how information is presented and how it is excepted .

All the Best I am sure proud of you guys … Roy

Now this is Progress. Thanks to all, including Zoe and Dennis F for holding the meeting.

That just made me laugh…HARD.

I am sure the meeting was intended for one purpose…Don’t know if its going to obtain the intended results.

Wish I could be there but I dont think I will be able to make this one. Please keep us posted

Russ as much as I agree with you; still I was serious. Even if the factions do not come together it is progress discussing the concerns of both groups. I really only care about the end results, not who gets them.

If anyone got Greg’s email; it is promising. Thanks Greg

Gregs email was AWESOME…once again, although I do not like fighting a losing battle, I at least want to be in the fight or properly represented. I wil have the pleasure with meeting Mr. Taylor on Sunday and hopefully getting some input and ideas. He seems to be a great guy.

My only worry is that Mr. Bell has been down this road before I think a few times. I just hope that he gets the support he needs to fight an effective battle. I know he has my full support.

Follow Inspectors

There is more than one issue with Senate Bill SB396. There are three groups identified for licensing by endorsement. The Division I contractors are only one of the three.

Richard,
Why all of a sudden the push from FLNACHI? We have asked time and again for input and our issues to be heard and we never heard a thing until Mr. Bell starts a grass roots movement to nullify these efforts. Now all of sudden we are kept up to date and people are helping. I gave FLNACHI the chance to represent me and to even stand back a bit, with the promise of information and input. NOTHING was ever received.

In my opinion Wayne is not getting a penny of my money and neither is FLNACHI. You had your chance to take the reins and lead us into a new ERA and you blew it. So now lets get behind the real sources of information and drive and support Mr. Bell and Mr. Taylor in their efforts. Yours does not, did not and will not work.

If you want one vision and to do what BEST for the INSPECTOR then back the inspector who had the best plan from day one (Greg Bell). Wayne cannot serve two masters, and he never has looked out for the well being of the inspector, he has been the backer of the COntractor for YEARS. So now your telling me he is on our side. Even if all of sudden is NOW on our side I am sure it must be financially motivated and someone who will whore themselves out, is not the type of representation I am personally looking for to represent me and my interest into this new and exciting future.

See ya FRIDAY!

Everyone should attend this meeting. We’re all on the same page in terms of desired legislative outcome.

Also, if you attend, email me at fastreply@nachi.org with your name and mailing address and I’ll reimburse you for the meeting entrance fee.

Damn, if people can’t spend $10 on their future…

Now the meeting is free (I’ll reimburse you the $10). So buy your fellow InterNACHI member a drink.

Same page will never happen. You know this, you cannot make them all happy. FLNACHI had their chance, they blew it. WAYNE is not going to get my money no matter what is said. I am just going to support Greg Bell and to have lunch/dinner with some friends…

I never have a problem buying my peers drinks…

Russell,

I am not sure that you understand that Mr. Wayne Bertsch has a new client. That new client is the Home Inspectors of Florida. It is much like when a Home Inspector receives a referral from a realtor. Does the home inspector give a soft report, omitting deal-killing issues for future financial gain from the realtor? I would like to think that a professional Home Inspector would look out exclusively for the interests of their current client (the buyer) and not the realtor.

I believe that Mr. Wayne Bertsch is a professional lobbyist who is able to look out exclusively for the interests of his current client, the home inspectors of Florida.

He has a NEW CLIENT, the HOME INSPECTORS of FLORIDA? Well let me check my licenses…well damn I AM a HOME INSPECTOR in FLORIDA…so if I never knew anything about this, how can he represent ME?

FLNACHI has NEVER worked to better the industry as a whole. They looked out for themselves and thats it. They did whatever it took to get people licensed. Hell they took the EXACT test from the IAQ2 for their test. They couldn’t even modify it? Shows the effort that went into this. It was a way to make money and they saw it and ran with it and did it the easiest way possible.

I have been through this time and again and the thing that I love the most is that FLNACHI actions time and again prove my point…This would not even be happening if it wasn’t for Mr. Bell getting involved. Now that he has backing is putting together a great program and cares a ATON about his fellow inspector, all of sudden FLNACHI is a leader…kinda hard to lead when your playing catch up…

Richard, I love your enthusiasm and from the great words of our leader “The last one in FLNACHI, please turn the lights off”.
