Love thy Neighbor :)

It sure is good to live on an island

My neighbor gave me a small amount of the fish he caught tonight.

I had to run out and buy a new vacuum sealer

Guess the type.

I showed up with a gallon ziploc bag but had to ride home on the tailgate of the suburban

Nice…

Made my night

Looks like shark…

Nope

Hard to tell from the “hack job” someone did on it, but my guess is Tuna.

Nope. That was just a little piece. It was cut pretty well in fact only one side kind of tapered off. I did worse steaking it as my knife I would have normally used could not be found. I will likely have about 3 big or 4 large servings per slice about 1 and 1/2 inch thick.

flipper?

I would not be able to type if it was.

My wife would kill me

Carp?

My other thought was Swordfish.

Swordfish, get the grill ready

Yep. I should have used one of my swords to carve it

how far out to blue water from your location?

It takes about 45 to 50 minutes to the inlet but you must idle most of the way. It gets blue pretty quickly off of Ft. Laud.

The guys were about 24 miles off of Ft. Lauderdale.
