Membership NACHI
Standards of Practice AHSI
Code of Ethics NACHI
Is this type of swapping allowed??
If you are a member of one Organization shouldn't you follow their SoP, and CoE
If not would it be good for an Inspector to Join all of the Organizations and Integrate the parts he likes from each.
I just find this odd that a member of one would follow codes of another.

Our Code of Ethics states that the NACHI inspector agrees to substantially follow the NACHI Standards of Practice.
If ASHIs is close to ours, the inspector is in the clear.

John,
It looks like you found my site
In AZ we are required by the state to follow the AZ ASHI SOP. As far as I know there is no way around it.

Illinois has it’s own standards of practice also. Although they are based on ASHI standards.

Some people have switched from one organization to the other, usually ASHI to NACHI like myself. A few months after the switch, I found references to ASHI SOP still on my website. Sometimes it takes awhile to find all the places you’ve referenced it and make appropriate changes.
Be courteous. Send him an e-mail and ask him about it. He may not realize the reference is still there.
Either Texas or ASHI came up with the first SOP. (They argue about it. I don't care.) Since then, pretty much everybody has looked at the existing organizations' SOP, modified it to suit themselves, and called it their own. If you read a bunch of them, you'll find they aren't really all that different.
