Hello everyone Just found the site and find it very usefull.

I have a few questions about inspections and mold.
If anyone could help me it would be great.

I was given a question on an open book test, and can't find information on it in the study material. The instructor told me to find outside sources for information.

question. is True of False.

A mold Remediator should be familliar with the NYC guidelines, ACGIH bioaerosols book, EPA regulations, and the IICRC S500-99

I have no idea what some of these are, and what would the NYC guidelines have to do with Iowa.

again thanks for any help

Hi John,

here are the links that you need:

http://www.ci.nyc.ny.us/html/doh/html/epi/moldrpt1.html

http://www.acgih.org/about/committees/c_bioaer.htm

http://www.epa.gov/iaq/molds/

http://www.iicrc.org/

So I woud guess the question to be true.

The New York guidelines have been important as up to now they have been the only governmental document trying to apply standards to mold invesigation and remediation.

I hope this helps

Regards

Gerry
