Not to burst any bubbles, but Musk founded and financed both SpaceX and Star Link. Pretty sure he had NO heroic contributions to either. His employees did and much applause to them, but they aren’t acknowledge. Musk is a buffoon…

Musk is a good man and has provided free Internet to the regions affected by the storms in North Carolina. Now these flood victims can keep in contact with their loved ones.
He saved two lives in space where NASA failed.

Exactly Joe, he doesn’t even come close to the celebrity power of Taylor Swift or Bruce Springsteen. But really, Who cares?
Musk is using Trump because Musk is 1. Anti-union, and 2. because he knows he can easily manipulate trump to eliminate the National Labor Relations Board if Trump wins the election.
It’s obvious, otherwise why would Musk alientate most of the people who buy tesla’s, which is by far his biggest cash cow.
So is that really a smart business move? Is he really a superhero?
And make no mistake about it, Musk is getting well paid via the American tax payer for his spaceX services, which includes Starlink.

Trump and Musk have mastered the grift. 
GEICO informed some Tesla Cybertruck owners that it would not be renewing insurance for the monstrous electric vehicles, claiming the oft-recalled trucks are not up to their standards.
The sudden change in policy was first detailed by Robert Stevenson, a Tesla Cybertruck owner, who tweeted, “@GEICO said they can no longer insure my Cybertruck.”
“It makes no sense, as there are other, riskier cars out there,” he wrote in the since-deleted message, which was reposted to Reddit. “Let me know if you recommend any insurer for the truck. I have eight cars with an amazing record. I will be canceling my entire Geico policy!! Bye-bye!”
Stevenson included a copy of the letter from the insurance company, which stated that the “type of vehicle doesn’t meet our underwriting guidelines.”

I like the way you are thinking. I do not like the marriage between the two. I want big business influence far away from my politicians.
That said, there is a fine line when we can use the most talented people in the world to make things better but it has to be a one-way street.
Let me clarify. Musk, if a true patriot, must help improve America without financial gain. To do so means he will be exposed to peril for the left will destroy him if possible.
