New Website Hosting Service from Home Inspector Pro - Need Input!

Hi Dominic,

Any updates on when your website hosting service will be available?

I beleive he is ready.
The template are A…s K…ing.
The only limit is your imagination, as there are so many tools you can use .

Perhaps a hybrid of totally blank or totally filled in.
You can have headings and “starter text” to get the creative juices flowing. However I believe that most who use “stock text” aren’t looking for an easy way out. Some may simply not be as creative or write as well as others. The fully loaded site gives then a presence. If you advise about the harm in SEO by leaving the stock pages, the HI will have an option to change.
Is it possible to offer different levels of service?

my .02
Rick

I suppose that is like pre loaded canned comments in a report.
Still copies hurt rank.
Perhaps a questionaire could be filled in that then loads it.

Just looked at the dates of the previous - I’m a little late to the dance again!

Hey Guys,

Brian, the sites are all ready to rock, I’m just working on tutorials right now to help ease the process along. If you shoot me an email or pm I can set you up now.

Richard,
I agree it’s mostly about guys not knowing what to write. The amazing thing is that our beta testers that have only loaded 5-6 pages worth of their own content with BRAND NEW domains are already hitting page 1 and 2 of Google for their search terms. Copying content from domain to domain just kills your ranking as the search engines hate plagerism. That being said, if anyone is ever looking for content, the current other hosts are simply taking the majority of their content from www.nachi.org/info which any inspector can do as well and add into their sites with us. We just STRONGLY suggest you rewrite as much as possible.

We’re looking at a public release very shortly. Anyone who wants to get setup now just shoot me a pm or email. The number of beta testers we have right now is astounding. And some of the home inspectors that have shown off their sites to others like Scott Widick already have plumbers and real estate agents asking for sites (which means I need to create more themes!).

Gee we feel so sorry for you:)

Hey Scott has already turned his site into a business. Several people he’s showed his site to have like it so much they wanted one but don’t have time for data entry. So he’s charging them a few hundred bucks to put the site together using our themes. Works great for him and for us

Dominick,
When I first started out, if I could have found a web site set up for home inspections and just needed to added my personal info to it I would have started there. Now that I understand why sights with duplicate content are counter productive I would want the ability to change that content, upload my photos and eventually add video.

Why would I consider switching to a new host you ask. OK so you didn’t ask but you should want to know.

I have web.com hosting my site and used their templates to build my site. I find it aggravating when I try to make a change to my site with their program, because after executing the proper commands the change won’t always take place and after you do it a second time then the information shows up twice. Now go back and delete it blah, blah, blah When I started out with them I was paying 9.95 a month after the first year 19.95 a month. Now that Have more knowledge about the “Web” I know I can get a better price and when I switch that will be a big factor.

A large selection of templates, easy to make changes to the site, low cost, Thats where I hope to end up with my site. And helpful videos like the one you did on site optimization. But try to keep 'em short. Some of us still have something called dial up. Ask your dad he’ll know what it is.

Good Luck and thanks for your help in previous post of mine.

Thanks for the input Mark  For the record I started on a 300 buad dial up modem before my Dad started using computers (I was 7 or 8).

So far I have 11 templates ready to rock and am working on more. I’m working on the animated tutorials similar to what we have for our software program right now, which are step by step with a forward & back button.

I have several dozen beta testers right now and hope to be ready to launch publicly soon. If you’re interested in switching now send me a pm and I’ll give you more info.

I’m always here to help, whether you will be using my hosting or not. I actually get dozens of emails a day and a lot of them are people using grassfrog , inspectorsites and other services. I’m an equal opportunity helper

Mark,

I just went to check out http://www.allmarkhomeinspection.com/ but it looks like it’s down. Just wanted to let ya know!

Dominic

As many can attest to.

Hello,

My thought to anyone considering building a search engine optimized site. There are a few things to get ready before Dominic’s Grand Opening. :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. Watch the Videos.
  2. Reveiw the tips he has posted here and subscribe to them for quick reference. He has them on his MB also.
  3. Gather up you top 5 keywords
  4. Cities you serve
  5. Fresh content
  6. Find some YouTube video’s about safety items etc. NACHI will have some coming soon that we can link to.
  7. Your new domain name with homeinspection in it.
  8. Your favorite pics to make great slide shows.
  9. NACHI logos- don’t forget a transparent background one.
  10. Get yourself setup on the Hip’s message board for more support tips
  11. Most important is to register your new site at HIP-His site is top ranked and it will get yours noticed too.
  12. Dont forget to change your NACHI information to your new domain name. NACHI -Gets you noticed.
  13. I use Firefox as a browser and there is a plug-in called SEO quake that quickly gives your seo ranking info for monitoring your progress. I moved a friend’s 5 year old handyman site to HIP with no ranking and within 2 days he had a page rank. New domain names take longer with Google
  14. Checkout everyone’s sites that you like with the “Seo quake” and look at the page source info. On Firefox browser you will find it at the view tab at the top.

I’m still learning all the capabilities of the templates but know my way around most of them. Snoop around some of my sites (some still under construction) and give me your feedback. Look at the keywords & check out the page info. If you don’t have the time to move your site let me know. I will do what I can to help.

LOL… your giving me some good ideas… too funny!!!

I may start sending the realtor a life size photo of myself so they can
stand it in their lobby… great advertising.
