No prior experience in home inspection, looking to become an educated CPI. Is InterNACHI the way to go?

(Ontario, Canada)
As the title says, I have no experience in home inspections. Brand new to the industry, looking to build a career. Where I live, there are no necessary certifications to become an inspector. That being said, I want to be educated.

Has anyone else been in my shoes, gotten their education and training strictly through InterNACHI, and become a successful inspector? I plan on doing the necessary lessons and education, passing my CPI test, getting a mentor for hands on experience (10-20 inspections), then going off on my own.
Thanks

Yes joining InterNachi is a great idea and you should do it. Also get your hands on any trade book/videos, business and marketing materials. I like your idea of following experienced inspectors as long as they are as successful as you want to be. InterNachi is a great part of your overall success but you should not rely on it alone. Best of luck!
