Hi Daniel. I authored more than 90% of InterNACHI’s 280,000 page website. No where on it does it say “but when i did one exam it tells me my credits will pretty much be useless until i’m licensed then i have to retake exam.”
Go here: www.nachi.org/florida and take the pre-licensing courses.
Also, visit me in S. Florida at www.nachi.org/hoh2 . We’ll do lunch.

Do you hold a license in one of these states? Yes No
Click the button below. If you attain a license in the future, you’ll have to take this course exam again to receive Continuing Education credit for your license.
You need to take the 120 course here and then schedule with the state and take the proctored exam.
Ok thats all i was wondering but the credit hours i do receive through this program are going towards the 120 hours , just confused me when it says if i attain license in future ill have to retake exam to receive credits
You only get credit for each course after doing four things (true for all of our courses):
- Logging in.
- Completing that particular course.
- Taking any quizzes found in that particular course.
- Passing the final exam at the end of that particular course.
Completing a course and not taking the final exam is fine for pure educational purposes, but you don’t get credit for it.
Does that help?

Nick,
Being in the same boat as Dan (unlicensed student), I believe he’s confusing pre-credits needed to get licensed, with continuing education credits. Once a license number is on record with Internachi for capturing continuing education credits, there’s no need to retake exams. However, if Dan takes continuing education courses prior to recording his license, he has to go back and retake the exams to link those course to his new license. Is that correct?
