I have been looking to offer a Home Warranty with our inspections. I did read a letter for InterNACHI from one company that would offer 90 and 120 day warranties. I have since heard very bad things about one of the warranty places. Does anyone offer this or similar warranties? If I remember right it was like $200 to sign up and $20 for the 90 day or something like that. I have heard of other inspectors offering this type of thing but it was some time ago. Can anyone direct me to a company that offers this as well as any company I should stay away from.
http://www.mountainassociation.org/ I found found this to be the Best Inspection Warranty by far. Ben is Nick Gromico’s brother, how can you go wrong??
Well you have my interest! I like the no membership fee as well that the web page said. I will contact you Tue of next week if that works for you. Thank you for the Response I hope we can have a mutual beneficial partnership. From what I have read so fare I like that I see and will again visit your web page.
Linas,
I don’t see anything at the link you showed that has anything to do with home warranties. It sounds like an interesting thing that I might look into later but correct me if I am wrong, there is not home warranty for my client, that I can see. But thank you for your input.
Tom
I have this warranty on my own Home & Pool.
I have been fortunate that I receive more benefit each year than I have paid in Premiums…
(probably not the endorsement AHS is looking for…)
Routine for REALTORS(in this market area) to sell / offer 1 year warranties as inclusive…
for an Inspector to Offer a 90 Day Warranty
that may dissuade from the REALTORS 1 Year Offering…
There’s nothing wrong with offering a warranty as long as your customer understands the limitations. It’s just like anything we do in business, maintain customer expectations. I believe most HI’s offer them in an attempt to increase perceived value and thus close more business. There’s nothing wrong with that but I personally don’t offer them because I am not comfortable with the limitations on the ones that are “affordable” for an inspector to offer.
I just make them aware that this is available… I offered a 90 day warranty in the past but never heard anything good or bad from clients so I don’t promote it (can provide if requested though).
