Office Presentations

Those of you who do any sort of Real Estate Office presentations / teaching, what are your go to for topics and or what have you received good feedback on! Always looking at ways to help educate agents and offer more value to them rather than just heading in dropping off some snacks and passing out cards. I have been in to offices previously for the basic meet and great introduction type presentations but would like to get creative. Thanks in advance!

I can’t offer any real help, but do agents actually go to the office any more?

Potential clients call/text/email to find an agent, either to list or buy.
They send buyers emails/texts with listings and showing info (from anywhere);
They execute contracts digitally (from anywhere);
They show up once a month for some internal compulsory office meeting.

Agents are “wined & dined” by vendors that earn much larger fees than HI’s earn on a transaction. Those folks can out-spend you with the swag and treats.

I imagine if you get to chat with a broker in charge, they’ll suggest what areas their agents need training or help with, overall.

I’ve focused mine around our SOPs… a great open is to ask how many agents have read them? Followed up by how many were aware there were such a thing? Agents generally have no idea we actually have a roadmap we use to kill their deals :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Kidding aside, it does make a good presentation with lots of great questions.

I did a few of these when I was working. Turned out to be a waste of time. almost no agents showed up. Just office staff looking for a free lunch!

It really depends on the practices and brokerages in your area. Some parts of the country it’s probably useless and others it may be the best way to get leads. If you can get into a “training” event that an RE office is doing for new agents you may get some work from it. You can shape the expectations and understanding of a new agent easier than an old hand who already knows it all. Plus the new people are less likely to have a favored referral list.

I haven’t done an RE office talk but I’ve spoken at a couple home buyer/ seller seminars. Best direct advice I can give is to ask for and listen to questions. The audience will be much more engaged than if you’re only reading a slide deck. Knowledgeable and articulate answers can make some great connections.
