I’m from your old neck of the woods - right on the state line of WV.
Only flurries here so far, but my son would LOVE all that snow!!
Very pretty, I love seeing snow…in pictures.
Now I’m going to the golf course, and head over to the beach later to watch the sunset over the Gulf. It’s sunny and 87 degrees, and the water is still in the 80’s.
You only have to drive 45 minutes to get to many feet of snow. Here in Washington we have the best of all worlds.
That’s true David. I’ll be having it right in my backyard in the Olympics soon hopefully. It’s just hard to see the Olympics all gray and bare, although they are gorgeous anyway.
Hoping to take the kids to Hurricane Ridge alot this winter. They are getting old enough that it’s more of a party than a trial for me to take all three by myself.
Darn, no snow yet…http://www.nps.gov/archive/olym/cams/hurricane/hurricaneridgecam.htm
Although it looks like maybe I’d better get out there before the snow hits and enjoy the best of all the seasons! http://www.birdingamerica.com/Washington/hurricaneridge.htm
Nick,
Where’s the pics of the bikini girls skiing???
Only 16 inches? Lightweight…
I had 37 inches on my deck this moring…and 5 foot drifts to drive through…went coyote hunting this morning and when I got back this afternoon…a lot of it is already gone…gotta love it.
Gosh, you guys have me missing Colorado.
However, like David said…best of both worlds here. Just have to drive to it.
As a matter of fact, the world’s record snowfall in one season was a few years ago at the Mt. Baker ski area, 45 minutes from my house. 24 feet in one season!
That’s right! I forgot about that! Amazing.
I saw that Fort Collins is the best place to live? Any good opportunities for Inspectors in that part of CA… I know Boulder and Denver are not to far away…
Fort Collins is great, it’s just above Loveland and Berthoud (if I remember my maps) which are both lovely areas. Russ Spriggs can give you more info though and probably Nick as well.
