Someone used what appears to be a tire tube as a drain “tubing”.

You can stop a drain, but you can never stop a redneck! :muscle: :sunglasses:

I mowed grass for the summer and saved 250.00 that is what they went for used back then, 350.00 for a new one.

Awesome! Back then, I think we got 5 bucks a yard, 10 if you raked afterward.

Back in the early/mid 60s, I shined shoes (the migrant workers came to pick cherries, etc. and loved to have their two-toned boots shined.), mowed lawns, babysat, had a paper route, etc. and saved $7,000.00 by 14 years old…and never spent that $…just added to it.

My dad ld me if I wanted something bad enough, to save the $ first and by the time I got it, I would know if I REALLY wanted the thing or not.
