Portable knee boards

There has been many times when knee boards in the attic would make inspection a lot easier. Sometime the attic hatch is too close to the eave requiring going in on your knees until you can get up or finding a way around a chimney or looking into an add on roof with a small cut in for access. So I bought a 24”x 48” x1/2” piece of plywood and cut it in half. Added a some hand holes. Routed and sanded the edge, waiting on some polyurethane to finish it up.

That could break if you are on 24’’ centers.

If I can stand up I don’t need them. I have the option to double up if needed. If I am on my knees my weight on the board is 145 lbs at my knees. I did a trial run to get the thinnest plywood to keep the weight down.

I use similar ones Randy. I am 210# and never cracked them. (I actually have 4 of them) Though you went fancy going with Poly on them!
