Do you test gas lines? Do you pressure the line or turn all pilot lights off and mark the meter?

Not on my inspections. My inspections seem to already be taking long enough.

abso-friggin-lutly not. the appliance either works or it doesn’t. if it doesn’t, then it’s out of your hands. call a pro. i think you’d cause more problems than profit if you did test them. icon_cool.gif

1. Pilots: If you you turn it off, you have to turn it back on. If it goes out next week, you’ll be back. You should not be turning utilities on or off.

2. Watching a meter is "not" a way to test for gas leaks. If the meter is moving when all is off, you had better run! ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

3. If you do the meter gas check, are you going to report that the lines are not leaking?

There is another thread talking about "over sensitive" gas detectors.
After reading, you will see that there are gas leaks everywhere. There is an acceptable level of leakage that some detectors will pick up. If you do a meter check and someone comes behind you with one of these meters...

It's like saying there isn't any mould in a house!
Do you want the liability?
