It appears to be a second story attempted balcony as you can see windows below, left, with foliage grown under them. Would estimate this is definitely more than 30" to grade.


Correct answer? 8' directly in front of the door to block exit from the
door    . Was that an intentional bow of the floor for drainage, is the floor sagging badly or is it an illusion with my monitor?
That floor appears to be very thin in construction.

Alright Gerry, you need to add 1070mm (3'6") to your options, 'cause that's what would be required in Ontario for anything higher than 5' 11"off the ground.

we need the taller railings. When you drink beer that actually has some kick to it (not intneded as a plug for Molsons new beer), you need taller railings to keep you from falling down.
