Is there a good source to find recalled and defective appliances, heat/air units, electrical panels etc.

I subscribe to http://www.totalrecallinfo.com/ It is only a few bucks a month. The owner gives an InterNACHI member discount.

I have found that the best source for recall info can be found here:

Best advice I have is:

The only stupid question is the unasked question!!
I ask questions on hear all the time that may sound stupid to some, but if your client needs the answer, your job is to get it for them. Don’t be afraid to tell a customer that right at this moment you do not have that answer. But you will get them the answer in a timely fashion. Most will appreciate your honesty, and work you put into getting their answer.

A few bucks a month buys me a gallon of gasoline.

Here’s how to subscribe to the horse’s mouth so that you not only never miss a recall but you will always have the info the moment it is released by the CPSC, including updates, changes, etc. I provide that document to all my Clients as part of my Real Estate SOLUTIONS library. And, best of all, it’s FREE! True Guerrilla Marketing at its finest!

Think outside the box, but don’t try to reinvent the wheel.
