I am just attaching the picture I took today, Home owner purchased a on demand gas water heater on Ebay and installed it himself and very proud of it. There is no problem with venting it into the basement or the gas leak.

This guy wants to get a reverse mortgage and was required to get a whole home inspection. The appraiser walked out 1/2 way though the home.

AHHH ha ha! That is great. The reason that on-demand system saves you so much money is because after running it for a while, you become less and less demanding!

This is the only house I was ever afraid of staying in too long. All the walls were like this, mold was everywhere and silt was covering the basement floor coming through the foundation cracks. The client bought it for $6000, the land appraised for $9000.

I don’t know if this one counts. It’s not a basement, but it is below grade. It probably would have been better for last month.
Look at the difference between the spacing at the top of the door to the wall compared to the bottom.
You can see how far the wall has come in.

Yep, genuine MO Ozarks engineering there.
That’s in the basement of a lake house I inspected for my mom. When she bought it, I told her that I’d probably replace the tree with an adjustable steel post, but I haven’t done it yet.
It adds character to the house. Maybe I’ll just leave it and put another post next to it for backup, just in case…
