Rubber gas line ok?

Hey folks, I noticed what looks like a rubber gas line used in a recent remodel to bring natural gas up to the kitchen. Is this material ok to use?

Looks like a rubber coated metal flex pipe from here in Jawja…

Yes this material is fine.

Technically you could say the jacket is cut back too far, if you want to get technical.

Most likely CounterStrike CSST, which is not problematic like the older CSST with the yellow jacket.

Thanks for the help guys!

I googled and does not compute!

You didn’t engage “Southern Drawl” mode, did ya’?

Yes that is fine. That stuff is a pain to get to seal correctly but beats trying to run galvanized pipe

1950s calling and they’re looking for their galvanized pipe. You can use black steel pipe for fuel piping material.
