A personal check?..Yes, yes I do…as soon as it clears my bank, which may take 2 to 3 weeks, I would be able to do the inspection. LOL!

Right. It is odd that a client would want to pay with check and not be present at the inspection, so that is a red flag. But, I do have clients who prefer to write checks. They are still out there.

I’ve had legit out of town clients that couldn’t be present and wanted to pay by check. I had no issues with it, but did request that the check be received and verified before the inspection. It doesn’t happen often and most prefer CC payment.

Keep in minded that 90% of my clients are from “out of town.” Just something you deal with in a second home, retirement market.
