Should we add the new online education course at http://www.nachi.org/onlineeducation.htm to our existing membership requirements one must fulfill to apply to NACHI at http://www.nachi.org/membership.htm

In keeping with NACHI's history of front-ending all the membership requirements... I think we should.

NACHI needs to raise the bar on entry requirements as I’ve stated in the past. This education course would be a great tool to implement. I’m all for anything that’ll create higher standards to the existing NACHI entrance requirements.

The education courses help us all become better inspectors and new members will certainly benefit from having taken them.

Hi to all,

One of my intentions when putting this course together, was to help member pass our existing SOP exam. In building this class we develope many quiz questions that we added to a new exam with all the existing questions.

I hope that we have prouce a good exam than may be able to replace the existing one.

One of the benefits of the sysytem that we have built i that if someone takes and fails our SOP exam , which is a memberhip requirement. they are directed to the education on the subject.

I think that raising the standards are a great thing, especially when we are alo able to provided the education to attain the higher standard.

Regards

Gerry

There is NO question that the more NACHI grows in the positive, the people who continually talk negative will soon lose their place and just simply be moved to the back of the NACHI Bus by their own doing.

It is easy to pick on someone who is doing something positive. If the
nay-sayers stood up to be counted OUR organization would become larger than life!

I could go on, but I think the point is made. LOL

What did that idiot say. I vote No. These should not be part of the Application Process. They should however be required for full membership.

I agree with you John. We need to have them completed before we attach them too any requirements.

It is my understanding that the on-line CE that is being discussed as an initial membership requirement is the "SOP" training.

There will be a whole series of courses like this. The SOP course is just the first. As I understand it.
