The drain fittings do not appear to fit properly. I was told the builders plumber installed the drain. Any ideas. I wrote it for a licensed plumber to evaluate and repair
It appears that the builder’s “plumber” was ill equipped on the fittings that day and improvised with what he had.
“But it doesn’t leak!!!”

A properly sized, in length, tailpiece and 90 would eliminate the visual confusion, although I can not see how the present 2 waste arm arrangements will affect the drainage flow.
Could you provide an image of the trap weir and vent arrangement please?
