Just a fun one I thought I’d share. There was about a half-dozen gardener snakes in a sump basket today in a crawl space. It was full of water (breaker to the sump was off). It was in central MN… never seen that before. I was laughing, the client… not so much. There was also a bonus snake in the rim joist insulation. Fun stuff!

I had a prairie rattler sound off on me when I was in Kansas the other week, while I was still about 10 feet away from him. Seemed to be awfully ill tempered.
They are born pis sed off.
The snakes were just hanging out in there. There was a bunch of dead ladybugs in there too… maybe they were feeding on those, who knows. Can’t imagine running into a rattler or something else venemous, that’ll keep you on your toes.
Look like plumbing snakes to me.
