Good one. It should supplement your income nicely! Other members could jump on the gravy train by copywriting terms such as “moisture staining, moisture wicking, deterioration, leaning, loose, cracked, safety hazard, trip hazard, or broken”
I think it is obvious that your problem is not ReportHost or your choice of language in describing a defect, but rather the software program you are using to publish your reports.
I know nothing about your software program; however, after reading the horror stories from people who continue to use it in spite of the issues you and others have brought to light, I can only conclude that it is free of charge, cooks all your meals, prints legal tender, and provides you with a new truck every year.
But when members signed up for Spectora, the owners of the company failed to disclose that they were pussies who would fold at the first meritless threat by some guy who runs ReportHost and extorts inspectors from his little house.
Indeed. Rather than stand up for the product they sold against the silliest threats from the weakest of their competitors, they bend over, grab their ankles, and make cuckholds of their own customers who continue to pay them to watch.
Which is it? Are they good guys or pussies???
I’m leaning to the latter, but we’ll see.
Someone seems to know a bit too much about “kink.”
I had to look this up because I’m innocent and pure. Disturbing to say the least Mr. Bushart!
… it is an English word with literary use since the 13th century but not found in your censored Spectora software narratives and, thus, totally unfamiliar to you?
Thankfully, I can’t imagine a narrative where it would have a place. Lol
Forgive the analogy, but Report Host is the school yard bully and Spectora gave up their lunch money and is forcing their customers into their own lockers.
I don’t see why anyone would continue to use either service.
If report hoes is trying to copyright phrases, they will find a way to apply that across the board…
I use spectora, and wasnt affected at all. I wouldnt have even known about the issue if it werent for this forum.
But I agree, they lost out on a huge advantage in the ring by not taking up Nick on his offer to sue the pants off them… It would have been an easy win, I think. And now, the hoes will continue to bully
I wonder if it’s a Florida thing.
The issue that seems to go over everyones head is if RH can claim simple terms like signs of wear and tear" are their property, then Spectora is just the 1st company they will sue.
Every other software vendor is a potential future law suit waiting to happen.
I doubt it. Probably just because I have never paid for any narratives. I’ve made my own for everything.
Oh, ok. I guess I don’t understand how the subscription services work. I’ve always just used my word template with my own narratives.
Let me step into Ryan’s shoes for a minute…
The subscription is not just for the inspection reports and the software, it also includes scheduling, emails, payments, report/picture hosting, finance records, agreements, etc.
Its a whole business suite, designed to make my office end easy!
Hey Ryan, how do you get your commission checks?
They’re suing him for massive over payments
If you find out, let me know. I want to get in on that. K thanx.
It has nothing to do with using your own narratives. It’s about if Report Host thinks your narrative infringe on their copyrights.
Spectora does not supply narratives.
However Spectora does allow users to share templates if they wish and allows users to import narratives from the users previous software template.
My issue is not that Specora gave me narratives that I can no longer use. It’s that Report Host is telling Spectoa that some comment that I have written and rewritten over the last 9 years are somehow theirs.
Which means every inspector with every software provider is at risk of being sued.
Report Host just started with Spectora because they were the easiest target.
HIP, Homeguage, and everyone else are all likely next.

I want to get in on that. K thanx.
Me’thinks it’s blood money!!
