Strange roof decking

appears to be 24/16 see your rotated pic, that reads 24" on center for roof 16" on center for floor
that’s why i asked appears to be over 24" rafter spacing? there may be more wrong than right

Larry If I am reading correctly the Apa rating is 7 which would indicate it must be supported every 7 inches vertically do you agree

No, the only vertical application I see in that document is for:

The Span Rating of APA RATED SIDING panels applies when installed vertically.

I agree with Barry on the 24/16; 24" o.c. for roof and 16" o.c. for floors but that is in the direction of the strength axis (or the length perpendicular to supports).

I don’t know if this is just for Canada…see bottom of page 2… but, I never used it with edges unsupported like in your picture, Charley.

1. goofball installed decking wrong direction
2. someone paying attention pointed out the deficiency = no pay until corrected
3. “oh btw don’t even think of tearing it off, damaging it & my trusses to reuse correctly”
4. goofball had new material ordered and installed in the right direction = made a check
5. what isn’t seen is did the 2nd layer land on rafters correctly?
6. were there a lot of shiners?
7. what was the rafter spacing, appears over 24"?
