Let me try to clear up some of the misconceptions that people have gotton from this thread:
- I post on this board, except as specifically stated, as just me. Not as any type of NACHI official, committee member or Chapter Officer. Just me. If anyone has a problem with what I post, call, write or e-mail me (or e-mail me to call you if you do not want to pay for a long-distance phpne bill). Do not contact any other third party and complain. It does not help, is not productive and will be ignored. To use go-betweens when you are P’d off at someone is a kindergarten game.
- I do not desire or want or wish for Mr. Unger to leave NACHI. I am very sorry if some have interpreted my previous post to imply that. I am also sorry that people choose to see what the want to see, as opposed to what is actually written or said. But I cannot be responsible for what other people believe (or wish to believe). I can only be responsible for what I actually do, write or say.
- NACHI State Approved Continuing Education is available to any NACHI Chapter President who wants it. It should be clearly understood that as more states institute different licensing and ‘registering’ laws, both for pre-licensing and for post-licensing continuing education (as opposed and not to be confused with association approved continuing education), the NACHI education committee has a really big job on its hands. 50 states, 50 different requirements. And they are legal requirements. As I have previously stated, NACHI wants to meet this need. If any NACHI Chapter President (directly) wants any of the courses that NACHI has created for state approved continuing education, NACHI will be happy to provide it. There are certain simple and easy and no cost requirements, but there are requirements, as the various states have required, not NACHI. To recieve these course materials, contact the NACHI Education Committee Chairman, Mr. Russ Myers (AND NO ONE ELSE, ESPECIALLY ME!). I can only respond be direction from Mr. Myers and no one else. I don’t make the rules and don’t always agree with them, but I can only act within them. Any requests that I recieve other than through Mr. Myers, will be ignored. Hope this is clear and helps.
- I have no beef with anyone, including Joe Tedesco, Bill Merrell, Len Unger, Joe Farsetta, Nick Gromico, Jay Shwartz, Jeff Wotham or anyone else. If anyone has a beef or complaint with me, it is their responsibility to let me know (phone numbers below and e-mail below. I do not like the ‘Private’ messages and do not have IM or any other toys. Call me or ask that I call you. If you do not and still want to keep the beef (especially on this board) I will assume that you have personal problems that keep you from acting in an adult manner. I cannot be responsible for what other people think, especially if they so want to be angry with me that they refuse to actually bring their complain to me directly.
- I want to humbly and sincerly appologize, specifically to Mr. Unger and Mr. Merrell, for any misunderstanding (or just plain bad feelings) I may have posted on this board to them. I love a good argument and am always willing to discuss, debate or argue with anyone. But any serious argument is always meant to serve only the truth, not personal agendas or benifit. Those that do not understand this, I try to stay away from agruing with them. Argument is not about emotions or feelings, it is about ideas.
- I will be deleteing all my previous posts on this thread because they have:[LIST]
- been taken other than I intended.
- were hurtful or taken to be so.
- were cheap shots.
- did not serve the truth.
- did not serve NACHI
- were just plain stupid.

Chicago VP, NACHI Member, NACHI Education Committee Member, NACHI MAB Committee Member, Mr. Will Decker has authored and is providing ( free of charge ) an Educational Course, “Structure for Home Inspectors”
This Educational Course has been submitted to the State of Illinois for 6 hours CEU’s, also provides 6 hours of NACHI Educational Credits.
This course is available, upon request to all NACHI Chapters. Please request materials from your NACHI State Educational Administrator or Representative.
The course may be modified to meet your States requirements.
You may also contact the Education Committee for further details.
This material, as any other educational materials is available from NACHI Headquarters, not from Mr. Decker.
