I wrote an essay on avoiding lawsuits including becoming a Certified Master Inspect, having a caution sign and never referring to yourself as an expert, because a home inspector you are a generalist. The article went over much more than this, but I wrote my essay on these three things.

Is getting a home inspector certificate to get a job or income in the Virginia market???
Thanks

Hi, @aabbas. I’m not sure what the question is. There are many successful home inspectors in Virginia. To become one, please visit How to Become a Licensed Home Inspector in Virginia - InterNACHI®

Hello Ben,
The question is:
I have 20+ years of experience in construction and construction in Middle Eastern countries.
Will getting a home inspector license for me as a newcomer be good for getting a job or income?
thanks

Hello! This is Reina from PA. I’m currently taking this course.

That depends. Is a license required by the local government? Then, yes, a license will be good for getting a job as a home inspector. It’s required.

If it’s not required, then no. Don’t get a license. Instead, get InterNACHI-certified.

To become an InterNACHI-certified home inspector, complete the first six steps listed at Home Inspector Certification Requirements - InterNACHI®
