What is everyone’s recommendations’ for preparing for the exam? Do recommend any other study material or practice tests in combination with INTERNACHI?
One help is to buy CODECHECK COMPLETE and read it cover to cover, over and over and over again.
Others will chime in.
Bryan, welcome. You should use the magnifying glass icon at the top right and do a search on this topic. Been discussed plenty of times.
Great pleasure to meet you, Bryan M Barrick.
Welcome to the InterNACHI community.
Are you an InterNACHI CPI yet?
Individuals prepare for exams differently. I have heard taking written notes, be it on you PC, paper binder or scribbler works effectively. Apparently, the action of writing note helps one maintain the information you collected by imprinting the image in your mind making it easier to recall later.
I personally have been NHIE certified for some time.
Best of luck with your endeavors.
Regards.

PS: Keep us posted along the way.
Visit the NHIE website, you will find what you are looking for on it. If you have not already done so, I would highly advise going to a live in the seats home inspector training school for the basics. AHIT and ICA have some very good ones. Do not just study test questions, most fail the exam becuase they are only studing test questions and not learning the subject matter. You must understand and know the materal. Just the materal will not prepare you for the NHIE, it is more for the INACHI test.
On the NHIE website you can find the exam content outline, it will show you the areas of knowlege you will be tested on. You should invest in the NHIE study guides, either in paper or E-Book.
