You are the clueless one.
I do believe you All owe him. He is doing a great job for those with the same interests.

What I said is he will NEVER get fairly compensated by the members EVER.

Mike that is what you said and you can reverse that my contrary friend;)

Those are my words. I guess I should have said he will NEVER get fairly compensated by the members EVER the first time.
I think he should but most are cheap. Only time will tell.

I sent him money a few days ago. I take it as a HUGE compliment that I would think of a fellow inspector and his time as being valuable.

What you fail to see Michael is that I do not fight for ME. I am good already, I fight for those who want to make the profession better.

I did not send money because he even asked, mentioned, hinted about it. It is because I do not want him to come out of pocket 1 penny! The time he has given up is worth more than we can give him.

I one simple question Mr. Meeker, what have you done to better the profession? Even in your view, what have you done? What have you done for the contractor? What have you done for ANYONE but yourself?

I do not go to church. But I believe in tithing…what better way to tithe then to help my brother inspectors? I even help those who I don’t agree with.

Stop and instead of thinking of destructive things, find CONSTRUCTIVE things and lets build on those.

I have done a great many things for a great many people for over 25 years in the construction industry.
I did not think about it I just did it more times than I can remember. My reputation, honesty and generosity is well known to all who I have come in contact with.

This is one of the few organizations I have ever chosen to join but I have been asked to join many.

Hey by the way did you miss the post where I said I already counted you in? So it was a compliment hah.

I am in as well, Count me in $

Greg,

Go open an account it is pouring in now.

I do honestly hope they do you are damn sure earning it.

LMAO, what you fail to see is that Greg has never asked for any of this. He earned it YEARS ago, in my opinion. Know why he gets support? He looks out for the PROFESSION, and give us 110% without any need or desire for recognition.

Few men like Greg are to be found. He does not get respect, he earns it. You should try it sometime. Give without expecting anything in return and watch how the blessings come rolling it. Its not to make him financially independant, its to say “thanks” for your hard work and sacrifice that you VOLUNTEERED for, without ever asking anything in return.

Michael as I have stated before try and do something constructive. I mean even if its for contractors, go to Tallahassee and fight for them! Go to your Govenor and fight for what you believe it. I bet you don’t because in this world there are those who do and those who watch. Guess which one you are?

At least now you are itchin

I have no fight and have never said Greg asked for squat.
I think he is a great choice for the job.
What Else positive can I say about it?

I have not said one negative thing about Greg or the job he is doing. I have only commented on how he will not get squat out of 95% of the people here. I honestly believe he deserves it. So far I do not think more than 5 have counted themselves in out of 400 views, pathetic if it is what you believe in. People who believe as he does should step up. If I felt he had my best interests at heart I would surely do so.

itchin? Nope.

What you fail to see is that he got 5% from people who care. Why look at it negative? But I am a HUGE believer in KARMA. I try to throw good out to the world and see what happens. It to just compensate him so he does not go out of pocket for gas, meals when on the road to these meeting, supplies etc…

Michael you tell me what a great guy you are and yet I see nothing come out of it. Its always negative…Scientology has a place for you and I agree…

I have said nothing negative about Greg or what he is doing. I just know people do not support the causes they should with money from their pockets.

Have a good night. I’ve got a busy day tomorrow.

We have, and even collected money. As soon as our site is up(at least email) we will post an additional link to donate. Our Nachi Chapter site has a place to make one time and on going donations. Greg will be reimbursed.

I will certainly contribute

I don’t do this for money. I do it because my business is affected by the outcome just like everyone else is. I do it because we are laying the foundation now for what this profession can become in the future. I do it now too pay back what NACHI has given me over the years.

I knew when I accepted the position that I would be spending money out of my own pocket. I knew that I would be giving a great deal of my time to the effort. But I gladly do it just as others before me have done. Jay Schwartz held this position for many years before I did. Steve Taylor worked all by himself at his own expense to do this last year. So I am just following in the foot steps that these two great inspectors made in years past.

As Russell stated karma is a wonderful thing. I have booked 3 inspections this month that were referrals from local inspectors. Inspectors that I have never received a referral from until this month. I know they did this because of the work I am doing now. Those 3 inspections equal $1000. That will more than cover my expenses as legislative representative for the chapter. As a matter of fact I get more referrals from local inspectors than I do real estate agents.

Mike I think that you are wrong about the other inspectors stepping up to help protect their own future. I know we won’t get 100% participation, but I would be very happy if we get 50%. The other 50% will join in our efforts after they see the results.

I like to lead by example. I would not ask anyone to do anything that I am not willing to do myself.

Thank you for your support Russell. You are truly a professional and care about our profession. I am only as good as those who support the effort.

Greg - Those inspection referrals that you recieved are great. I’m glad that other inspectors are stepping up to the plate that way. You might get too busy to represent us if they keep coming!

You should have been around during the boom, three inspections a day was the norm, 6-days a week, of course we were a lot younger then.

I was building oceanfronts at the time — Boom Boom Boom – Man I miss those times alot - Thought it would always be that way - Then i got my nice little wake up call

What year did the inspection world peak? My guess is between 2003-2006 or a little earlier

Here in Hillsborough County it was the fall of 2006 that we knew something had changed.
