While your there ask him what the guys like myself who just spent thousands of dollars on mold assessor and mold remediators classes are to do? Do we send in our $ 660.00 to the DBPR and if we do will we get our money back when they repeal the law?
If you want a license then you better send in the money. The people I spoke with seemed to think that it was the Governor testing the waters.

There has been a companion bill filed in the Senate to repel mold licensing. SB1244
I did see the list of all the current applicants right now for mold assessor while I was at the DBPR today. They are not going to have to repel it because of a lack of funds.
Perhaps, if you charged like a professional inspector with an overhead instead of as a contractor who “inspects on the side” you would do fewer inspections and still net more money.
Bottom feeders get lots of cheep inspections before finding a new line of work.
You know nothing about what I charge for Standard Home Inspections. The average price I QUOTE FOR A Basic 3/2 IS ABOUT $350.00. I am just about always higher than the competition on Home Inspections.
James, I know nothing about what meeker works for, but I can tell you that a contractor may look at it diferently as doing contracting you can be lucky to make 50 an hr a lot of times and you destroy tools and trucks, and need a warehouse and lose money with employees and subs and on and on. I could see why a home inspector that use to be a contractor may work a little cheaper then the average
