We are in the process of perhaps buying a different house and after looking at one that we really liked I noticed that it had a Mannabloc manifold with gray Thermoguard SDR-11 tubing for the water supply plumbing. The house was built in 1993 and after I saw the manifold I kind of recalled some horror stories and my research pointed me to this site. I also found some info on class action lawsuits and limited warranties. Is this the stuff that has known problems and must be replaced? I’m 73 yr old retired engineer and try to do the right thing. I can’t imagine the work and expense that would be required to remove and replace the stuff especially when the house has no attic and is on a concrete slab. Any tips would be appreciated. I’m in Green Valley AZ.
