Toilet location

I find a lot of interesting homeowner bathroom/toilet/shower additions, but this one yesterday in a 1936 home took the cake.

I and my partner thought it was toilet storage in the foundation crawl space, but, in jest, I went over and said, "See, it works." Damned if it didn't work.

Headroom clearance was about four feet, so one could make it to the toilet hunched over. And, of course, sometimes it doesn't matter what headroom clearance is on the way to the toilet, just get me there! LOL

No, No, No!

Just because the water runs, does not mean that it is a bathroom facility! Don't you see the sign hanging? It is a one stop bar. Store the booze on the tank. Sit and drink. When you drink too much, don't have far to run!

Russell,

Sounds sort of like one I saw once. They had managed to located it under the stairs inside a tiny space. Thing is they installed the toilet in the narrow end where the stairs above tapered down. One would have to “assume the position” of a ski jumper and back down onto the hopper. May require the assistance of a “spotter” for landing and dismount.
