Go to the folder it was downloaded to and open it there. It will work that way.
Try now:
No it won’t. Some glitch caused all of the image fields to be converted to buttons. It works now.
And…you are welcome…
Works perfectly. Thanks Eric.
BTW, how’d the run/walk turn out yesterday?
Bert
YW!
I don’t know which run you mean?
When we lived in Broward, we used to run the Breast cancer 5K, which I think was this weekend.
Saturday morning was a training run for me getting ready for the Wine and Dine race in November. I was supposed to do 5 miles, but felt so good, I did 6!
Hopefully, switching to the new shoes is the reason there is no more pain in either leg. Broken bones hurt and can get expensive!
This week is a 5-mile run tomorrow morning followed by a 10 mile run Thursday night. That will be the test. If I feel as good as I did yesterday, the marathon training program for the A1A in Fort Lauderdale in February is back on.
The wine and dine race was going to be my last race…but since I am feeling better than ever, that may change!
Looking back on the last year or so, the list of damage is growing in a rather alarming fashion!
August 2012: Broken bone spur in left foot (ran Tower of Terror race 8 weeks later, 2012 Wine and Dine race six weeks after that)
April 2013: Stress fractures in both tibias
September 2013: Torn meniscus in left knee (Ran 2013 Wine and Dine and was run off the road by fairies, further damaging the knee)
June 2014: Partially torn Achilles tendon in right leg
July 2014: Minor re-tearing of left knee ACL, torn meniscus (Played 90 holes of golf two weeks later)
September 2014: Broken bone spur in left heel
Hopefully, that will be the end of the injury report for awhile!
Yes that was the run I meant. I read you were going for a run and figured it was that one.
As for the injuries, start thinking of taking up water ballet, because old age is a B*&$!..lol
Take care man.
Bert
That run is kind of special as it was my sons first foray into running…although he was in a stroller at the time!
They have one this weekend up here, I think, but we are going camping with the cub scouts, Spookaree, this weekend.
As for water ballet…at least running, I don’t have to worry about drowning!
And now, off for another 5-mile run!
Shawn,
Did you get the form to work?
And, more good news…A little birdie told me the 1802 is changing…again!
I think I will modify that picture form so the address and date can be added and when the new form comes out, make that executable and release them both for free.
There are some print drivers that will allow you to combine documents, I know Adobe professional does it, so that then, your pictures and the form will all be one document.
Oh wow. Another change!..Thanks Eric!
Bert
Eric,
How can we learn of this change so we can FIGHT for making it an easier more common sense form? Take out all the unnecessary work.
That ship has sailed…
When the 2 page form was used, it was OK, but then, because numerous inspections were done improperly, steps had to be taken, and were.
Not much can be done as the OiR has their own agenda, which is quite clear if you read the form and compare it to studies and logic.
For those that want a picture page that has the address and date, see attached.
If there are any issues, let me know.
So who is designing the form and in charge of what is going on it?
The OIR makes the changes. Will mostly affect homes in the HVWZ
I suspect the same consortium that revised the last one.
My suggestion was to have a form that is a yes or no check form. Yes or no for discounts.
- Year built, permit application date.
- Roof covering and permit date
- Roof shape: Hip <25% non-hip feature with measuring being done at ALL fascia for total roof distance, non-hip.
- Clip, single wrap, double wrap.
- Roof deck nailing C or not
6 Do away with SWR until the building code method is considered acceptable. - All openings protected, yes or no.
No pictures required. If the Insurance company wishes to dispute the findings, send their inspectors out to take pictures. Anyone caught marking the report improperly will be fined. Three fines, and your license will be suspended.
Also, I would be for a specific wm inspectors license. That way, those that are doing these improperly will lose only that license and still be able to continue working in whatever field they were working in.
I would also suggest that the inspector take pictures of items in the event that his report is challenged.
Yes I got the form to work.
Where did you hear about the 1802 changing. Can’t find any info online. Curious:D
Also kinda off topic note. Did a wind mitigation on a house with a brand new roof. Is it common for the roofers not to install the third nail in the strap. My client was kinda pissed because she paid a lot of money on her roof and couldn’t get the roof to wall credit, because of only having two nails.
County inspectors I believe don’t look at this, should they??
As I said,a little birdie!
There is a provision in the code,2007,where homes valued over 300k had to have the rtw modified.
It is common for roofers to do a lot of things wrong…until they get caught.
True, but only up to 15% of the re-roof costs, and most houses (not including lot) fall under the $300K threshold. I also do structural inspections for roofers that need verification on the tie-down compliance on bigger homes. If the RTW does not comply with the FBC uplift table, it has to be retrofitted starting at the corners of a gable roof. Hip roofs are different, and the reason you don’t survey the first 5’ or the end jacks.
I always wondered why that number was chosen. Probably had something to do with the inflated appraisals being done at the time…
Looks like another avenue of income dried up for the contractors expecting a windfall starting with the msfh and continuing on!
