Wearing slippers inside

As a new member to NACHI and to the HI business let me say thanks to all the helpful information. I believe the best way to learn is to listen to the experts. Thanks. Many of you have mentioned wearing slippers inside. Sounds like a good idea, but what do you do in the attic? Are they safe to wear or do you put your shoes back on? Looking forward to hearing from you and even one day being able to help someone else. icon_lol.gif

Larry, I personally carry a change of shoes with me. I wear boots on the outside and on the roof. I then change to some tennis shoes for the interior and the attic and change some back into my boots for the crawl space. But that is just me.

Hi and welcome Larry

I agree with Dave Each house will be different. So I try to have a clean pair and a pair for the crawl space. Dont forget you can always go around in your socks as long as your feet dont smell bad. ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

I used to take my shoes off and put them back on for the attic and basement. What a pain in the neck and I always had on the pair of socks on with the hole in them. Now I slip a pair of the shoe covers over my boots or shoes. They impress the homeowner and realtor. The bottom is supposed to be non-slip. The brand we use is called shoobies.

And besides, I would be embarrassed to be seen in my Sponge Bob slippers! icon_wink.gif

Larry, I went to a medical supply store and purchased a box of shoe covers for $18.00, I believe there were 500 to the box. They last quite some time. Occasionally, I get a homeowner who is extra nervous about getting there carpet soiled and have given a pair to the small entourage, client, agent, etc. It scores pretty big with all!!! Bob

After doing an inspection in my socks on a ceramic tile floor and nearly losing my toes from frostbite -ok thats an exaggeration but my feet were cold as they can get in Houston - i will go with the paper over shoe idea.

Shoe covers are a great way to go. I went with blue instead of white due to the fact they don’t show the dirt as much. This allows me to wear the same pair 2 or 3 times before getting rid of them. Mine were $30 for 100 pairs. A years worth for $30 is fine for me.

I keep an extra pair of slip on deck shoes. I have used them maybe 3 times in 1 year.

But it's a dry heat!!
