Inspection yesterday where it looks like there is a coating that has been applied to the shingles. Consistency and what looks and feels like a sprayed concrete (granulated). Like a very light coat of “Gunite” Roof is not in bad shape. Anyone familiar with this?
There are a few different products on the market, but usually the manufacturer of the shingles advise against it. With some manufacturers it voids the warranty. I would just report your observation and overall condition and move on.

I have seen something similar to this and it was a spray applied to kill moss due to the tall shade trees over some of the roof.
Looks like one of those snake-oil products that are claimed to renew an old roof.
