What size extension ladder should I buy?

Just be safe or it might be permanent retirement :grimacing:. You don’t have to spend $1000 (like I did) to get a good drone. One of the guys in our group has been using the DJI spark for over a year and says it does a great job for him.
Just be safe :grinning:

And thanks for the comment… I will try to post more this coming year.

Best regards,
Trent

Larry, thanks for your very detailed post! Both of these ladders look great. One quesstion: does the 22’ Werner get you to the roof of most 2 story homes with enough extra length that you could safely climb onto the roof?

Thanks!

William, it depends on the grade or deck, etc., but often it did.

Edit: I took a 28’ extension ladder when I knew that I needed it.

A 22-foot ladder will only get you on the roof of a one-story ranch. safely

Larry, thanks so much for your incredibly speed reply. I really appreciate it.

Perhaps I could direct this question to both you and Scott: If one were not going to walk any 2nd story roofs, but rather climb to the top of a ladder and take photographs, what do you think would be the minimum ladder size one could get away with?

Thanks in advance, gentlemen.

Scott,

Thanks very much for your super fast response! I included you in my reply to Larry in asking about minimum ladder heights to be used to safely take pictures (but not walk the roof) of 2nd story homes.

I appreciate your feedback!!

Remember, you can use an upper window, lasso the chimney and with tree climbing spurs and get to the roof that way, too. LOL

LOL! Is that photoshopped? Looks like it was designed by Salvador Dali!

No, it’s a 21’ A-frame called a skyscraper made by Little Giant.

When I need a large ladder I rent it and have it delivered.
I can usually get the guy that delivers it to move it around for me for $20 if he has the time.
