You don’t need half of that garbage! You’d wear yourself out just totin’ that around.
I have all those things plus some additional, but I have 3 bags! Basic tools on my hip bag, PPE items in another bag along with towels, footies, disinfectant etc. 3rd bag has all my meters, cordless drill, flir camera and extra camera. Of course, in my truck is another toolbox with extras of everything and a few of those weird tools you occasional need. ( I do like Ben’s telescoping moisture pole!)
I originally tried to have everything in one bag, but for me it was too heavy and I was always wasting time looking around in the bag for something.
I carry a telescopic mini mirror, they are great to see down the back of laundry machines, furnaces in tight spots etc, handy to have sometimes.
That plus a telescopic small magnet. Great for when you drop that screw for the panel cover right next to that brown recluse spider!!
Lots of good tools in Bens tool bag, and although I’m sure there is a use for it, I just can’t justify carrying a hoe in my tool bag.
I could justify it, but she won’t fit and she is never quiet.
(Yes, I know this is an older thread)… IMO, here’s the bottom line… A NEW inspector should only be focusing on Home Inspections. Period! Once you have those mastered, (minimum one year for average business), then you can consider expanding into what you have discovered your local market is asking for. First days tools? Typically half of what you likely think you need. And don’t go on a shopping spree wasting your “working capitol” on fancy tools and gimmicks, as that will be the primary rea…
Great bag of inspection tools.
Thanks for the video, Ben.

Yes, I carry one of those too, only had to use it fixing my car on the weekend though!
