How 'bout a little snack of spicey chicken wings?

Mine was pork butt turned into barbecue…

Today the Big Green Egg was stoked up and tonight the apple wood smoked salmon will be gracing the party table. Best to everyone.

Tomorrow for New Year’s dinner it’s one huge honkin’ piece of prime rib. There is going to be 11 of us for dinner and I went out and bought a 10 pound, really nicely marbled prime rib. We are going to eat about 2;00 so I will be thinking of all you lesser mortals as I dive into my favorite meal. The only thing that will be missing is the Bay of Fundy scallops and bernaise sauce. All the other trimmings will be there. Yorkshire pudding, oven roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, cauliflour and a really good pan dripping gravy. Yum, Yum.
PS. dammit, I forgot to go to the booze store and buy some cognac.](*,)

We got some beef jerky going.

A little later we’ll be smokin’ some Bronco Butt!:wink:

Bronco Butt is available: Rare, medium or well done.

I prefer mine well done.

Off topic - I’m boiling 70 lbs. of crawfish this Saturday. My favorite time of year and one of my favorite things to do. I can’t wait.

I will bring Elk jerky and elk steak over. John when is dinner?

Elk “stake”…Lots of fiber and pulp, and get this, it also comes with its own toothpicks. :smiley:

Or perhaps this elk is really fresh and you need to tie it up so it doesn’t get away. :smiley:

Talk about a cheap date. Here honey chew on this hickory smoked piece of wood while the rest of us enjoy our steaks.

Here is what I grilled…glad I packed them in the freezer well…these grouse were definitely at the end of their useful life…but they were hiding behind the moose in the freezer and I forgot about them…
