Hello everybody. I’m Todd Hatch from South Louisiana. In the introduction video at the beginning of every course Ben says that the essays will be shared in the forum and graded. I can’t find where any of mine are. Any help is appreciated. I’m totally new at this. No home inspection experience. Got laid off after 25 years in occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance. Nobody wanting to hire a 58 year old anymore, so to meet a need in my area, I was convinced to take this path. I’m excited to be involved with this profession. Thanks … Todd

Thanks Larry. I did have Ben’s email. Just wanted to know about the essays. They may have just stopped grading them. I received emails that they were submitted, but I’ve been at it a couple of weeks now and haven’t gotten any of them back yet. I’d like to see some feedback on them. I know that I have room for improvement. Thanks for the info. I’ll send Ben an email tomorrow.

I wouldn’t worry too much about your essays, I could never find mine either just complete the assignment and move on. If you really think you need feedback for any of the essays you’re required to submit feel free to re post them on this board under an appropriate title.

Thanks Bob. I just wanted to review the essays, but no worries. I just completed my 90 hour pre-licensing classes on the path to get licensed in Louisiana. Now on to studying the mechanical and structural manuals to prepare myself for the NHIE exam. This has been an eye opening experience for sure.

Have you checked the ‘Table of Contents’ yet?
That is where all the Student threads and posts belong.
I believe the Student threads are ‘Muted’ by default to keep the MB clean from clutter that pisses off working inspectors having to weed through the nonsensical posts.
Look near the bottom of the Contents page for the “Inspection Education Topics” sections…
I never bothered looking for mine.

I’m not really bothered by it. I just wanted to review them before taking my final exam for the licensing course since my last class was heavy on communication/writing. I’m done with it now. Moving on. Thanks everybody.
I never knew anyone did the essays! As with many things you will see on the site, that is the only place and time you will see it!
