Saw this in a few spots. It was a chalky substance. I dind’t think much of it until I saw it above the garage doors. I really don’t think much of it now, but I figured i’d ask if you’ve seen something like this.

Those look like bricks that may have been made to emulate old bricks. Often painted but then left to weather. At least that’s my first guess from the pictures. Any details on age of the brick/structure?
Efflorescence. Salt chrystals take on different appearances (and sometimes colors) depending on their chemical makeup. It looks like the bricks had localized areas of impurities from which large amounts of salt chystals were leached.
