I DEEM THE DEMOCRATS FULL OF CRAP

[They say it will be over by Sunday.
The Speaker of the House said that, the president’s spokesman said that.
Sometime, between now and Sunday, probably when we’re not looking, when we are lulled by the empty monotone of the evening news, they will slit our throats.
When they have rigged the rules just so, when they have stacked the vote the best they can, when they can cheat the system and subvert the country, they will do it.
And the jug-eared caesar will proclaim that he has done what no other president could, he has reformed health care.
He has bled the last drop of American freedom.
After a year of debate and contention, after a year of the nation shouting “No!” from farm to factory, the end will apparently be a whimper. A whimper from the heartland and a cackle of delight from the Capitol.
We won’t know what’s in it until it’s signed, the Speaker said. Just sign your name and trust me.
The solution being championed is a gaming of the rules that lets the House sign on without really signing on. So that no Democrat – liberal or conservative – has to answer to voters for casting a vote on health-care reform, two of the most liberal members of the Congress – the Speaker and the chair of the Rules Committee – have calculated an end around, a vote without a vote.
Our world is changed, America is diminished, health-care becomes expensive and scarce, and no one is responsible. Elections have consequences, the Speaker once said, but sometimes she is willing to have consequences without elections.
She and her confederates have “deemed” health care passed, and so the chains of government control are forged on another part of our economy and society.
Well, maybe it’s time we “deem” her out of office. Maybe it’s time Americans deem their politicians useless and insubordinate. Maybe it’s time that the American people deem themselves sovereign and the Constitution the law of the land.
It is an odd day in American political history, not only do the leaders of Congress ignore the will of the people, they ignore the will of their members. The implicit fact of the congressional games is that there isn’t a majority in support of health-care reform. The dirty little secret of recent weeks is that Obama and the others have given up trying to sway the American people, they now hope to simply to sway the congressmen of their own party.
And they show little prospect of doing that.
So they have to cheat.
They have to impose the Slaughter Solution, a gambit to spare health-care reform the sure defeat an up or down vote would bring it.
The Democrat problem is that there is not Democrat agreement. Some Democrats in Congress feel strongly about one thing, and other Democrats in Congress feel strongly about other things – the same goes for their constituents. And this bill pulls them apart. It offends some in one way and offends others in another.
So the only way to get it passed is to not bring it to a vote – a seeming impossibility that Nancy Pelosi and Louise Slaughter have found a way around. They will create obscure procedural votes – they say – that will allow the legislation to move to the president’s desk without every truly coming before Congress.
That way each Democrat can go home and truthfully say he didn’t vote for health care, and yet there will be a health care bill. Those who want can claim credit, those who don’t will have no responsibility.
And it will all be a game.
With the American people as losers.
They can’t convince us, they can’t even convince the congressmen of their own party.
But they are going to force it on us anyway.
Which is one more milestone in the destruction of American freedom.
Because this isn’t about health care. Health care is just the battlefield. The war is about freedom, and whether or not you will have it anymore. It is about how expansive and powerful government can become, how totalitarian its policies will be, how much resistance you will put up.
Having failed to get their will through the democratic process, the Democrat leaders have happily opted for chicanery. It is a con, a bloodless coup, being foisted upon the American people.
And it’s supposed to happen this week.
A silent but certain slitting of the American throat.

You are reading the rhetoric of the minority party who is losing its fight to stop the President of the United States from gaining a legislative victory.

Understand this…The Democratic majority in both Houses of Congress are passing a bill into law that is unpopular with the insurance companies who spend a lot of money in the election campaigns of those who are fighting this bill.

In the end…the good guys have found a procedural way to win in spite of the minority powers’ procedural attempt to stop the bill. Americans win and have health care reform.

Legislation…like sausage…is a disgusting thing to see being made.

The President was elected to get this passed…and he will. That is the blow to the RWNJs that hurt the most. They are so upset and disoriented over this defeat they are calling Jesus a Nazi.

By the end of the week, it will all be over…except for the birthers who will shift their emphasis to challenging the authority of Congress to pass laws.

BARACK OBAMA, MATH MAJOR

[I don’t know who’s dumber, Obama or the people who support him.
Like this deal the other day in Ohio.
It was Imam Obama and a hand-picked crowd of supporters – you know, union members and welfare recipients – and he was firing them up on the subject of health care. He was explaining exactly why they ought to support his revision of America’s health care system, even if they don’t know what that revision is or what it would do.
And they were wetting themselves with glee.
And all was well.
Until he went off PrompTer.
He had laid aside his oratorical pretensions, he had affected his aw-shucks pronunciations, he had lost the “g” on words that end in “ing.” And he was left with nothing but his own enthusiasm, the safety of someone else’s speech left momentarily behind.
That’s when he came up with this.
“Your employer, it is estimated,” he shouted to the sheep, “would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000 percent – which means they could give you a raise!”
Not unexpectedly, the crowd went wild. People were cured of various diseases, some spoke in strange tongues, various types and quantities of bodily fluids were released.
You’ve got to love that Obama.
Unless you’re a math teacher. Or anyone else who thinks there should be some obligation to speak the truth when you’re the president of the United States.
Now, I don’t want to be persnickety here, or too much of a sticker for detail, but what the Muslim In Chief said is, uh, well, mathematically impossible.
And I know that’s meaningless when it comes to presidential promises, but it is worth noting.
Because what Barack Obama said was a lie. It is an impossibility. It is a political promise made that cannot possibly be kept.
Let’s do some math together.
Let’s pretend that your insurance premium is $10 a week. Most of us pay 10 or 20 times that, but for the purpose of this discussion, let’s pretend you pay $10 a week.
Well, according to the president, if your congressman votes for Obamacare, your premiums will “fall by as much as 3,000 percent.”
Let’s figure out how much that would be.
If they cut your premium in half, so that you’re only paying $5 a week, well, that’d be a 50 percent reduction, and that’s nowhere near 3,000 percent. If they took it all the way down to zero, so that you were getting your health insurance for free, that would only be a 100 percent reduction.
And a 3,000 percent reduction is 30 times bigger than a 100 percent reduction.
So we’re going to have to cross into the fourth-dimension of mathematics. We’re going to have to go into a negative premium – way into a negative premium.
Here’s what I mean. If a 100 percent reduction gets us from $10 to zero, then a 1000 percent reduction would get us to negative $90.
Which means the insurance company would have to pay you $90 a week for the privilege of insuring you.
But, wait, that’s just for premiums that are 1000 percent lower. Obama is promising three times that.
Which mean that, if he lowers your $10-a-week premium 3000 percent, the insurance company would have to pay you $290 a week.
Which makes health care reform a pretty appealing thing.
But inasmuch as that is impossible, both mathematically and practically, it’s not a pretty appealing thing.
It is a con. And the president’s mathematical lapse is just the latest example.
